So I was planning on doing all 90 days the old fashioned way (by reading). I've since realized that this is needs to be a multilateral attack. Since Wednesday, I've downloaded parts of The Bible Experience on iTunes (pretty reasonable), used biblegateway.com (crosswalk.com is also great) to read on the internet (for me -- on my phone), and used two different versions of old fashioned ink and paper Bibles (I love both the NIV and NLT). I'm reading in bed, listening in the car, in the shower (I know: TMI) and catching up during lunch and bathroom breaks. The result? I'm actually a day or two ahead.
Here's the point -- stay on track. You can do this! Just be focused and creative. God wants you to do this, so how can you fail?
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? -- Romans 8:31 (day 80).

Right On! I am a two days ahead, and I purchased the audio CDs too. I should get them on Monday or Tuesday. Our group now has another source of the Bible.
ReplyDeletePS I asked my 18 year old son to do this with me too. Praise the Lord!

Well, we are a week into the Bible reading. We should have settled into a steady pace and process to accomplish the reading or listening. There are a variety of media available to assist us. Remember, this is not a sprint; it is a marathon.
ReplyDeleteI pray for the strength, endurance and comaraderie to propel the entire group to completion.
Also remember, there are braggin' rights on the line!
