OK. I think I barely understand how this works.
Hello. I'm testing this.

Our God is awesome

Gentlemen,

Our God is awesome. It is so good to see the Lord hearing and answering our prayers. It is also good to know that as we come closer to one another we come closer to Him. Jesus said in John 13: 34,35 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." hat it is by our love for one another that they will know we are His.

We demonstrate love by caring for each other, praying for one another, eating together, rejoicing, sharing burdens we have. This is pleasing to the Lord.

I believe that this is good religion which is quite different than the religion I grew up in.

I want to invite other men who are reading the 90 day bible challenge who are not part of our group to come and visit us. If you feel comfortable please stay with us for a while. Get with one of the men you may know from the group and they will give you directions.

This week we cross the halfway mark. I am so impressed with each of you and the work the Lord is doing in you.

I think we should remember the Lord next week in holy communion. Please be prepared to come and celebrate the Lord in this way next week.

Blessings,

Out the gate

Greetings Gents,

Well, we are 1/4 way through the word. I am excited to say the least. I have a tool that I use to check my spiritual wellness. I call the tool "Change the Song". Here is how is works. When I first wake in the morning even before my eyes are open I have thoughts that stir me and I usually have a song in my head playing like a tape. For a while last year the song was not glorifying to God and many times I felt disconnected from Him. So I Change the Song and here is how. When I am in the word of God regularly and I am in fellowship I find that the song changes for me. I awoke this morning singing praise music to the Lord in my spirit. Pretty cool way to wake up. The song was changed becuase the Holy Spirit is active in my life for this day. I hope your song is good tomorrow morning.

Now for some straight talk. If you are behind catch up. I have had many good conversations with you guys over the past few weeks. Some of you read well and others do not. I am in the do not category. I prefer to listen and read instead of simply reading. We have enough sets of the CD's out there if you think you could benefit from this wonderful tool.

As of today I am right on schedule and finished reading 1Kings 16. Please post where you are at or let us know tomorrow. I would like to know who if finding this easy, challenging, etc ....

Blessings,

Paul

Gratitute

I thank my Lord for letting me know that He works through other people, and I thank Him for our trusted servants in our Christian-Fellowship who aid each member to reject their false ideals and to adopt those, which lead to a life of compassion and trust. “Come To”–so that they can “Come to Believe।” I ask my God to help strengthen my faith today and that of my fellows.
The Lord is good to us and for this I am thankful.

AN EVER-GROWING FREEDOM

When I finally asked God to remove those things blocking me from Him and the sunlight of the Spirit, I embarked on a journey more glorious than I ever imagined. I experienced freedom from those characteristics that had me wrapped up in myself. I’m now able to be useful to God and to my fellows. I know that He has granted me strength to do His bidding and has prepared me for anyone, and anything, that comes my way today. I am truly in His hands, and I give thanks for the joy that I can be useful today.

Start Strong

So I was planning on doing all 90 days the old fashioned way (by reading). I've since realized that this is needs to be a multilateral attack. Since Wednesday, I've downloaded parts of The Bible Experience on iTunes (pretty reasonable), used biblegateway.com (crosswalk.com is also great) to read on the internet (for me -- on my phone), and used two different versions of old fashioned ink and paper Bibles (I love both the NIV and NLT). I'm reading in bed, listening in the car, in the shower (I know: TMI) and catching up during lunch and bathroom breaks. The result? I'm actually a day or two ahead.

Here's the point -- stay on track. You can do this! Just be focused and creative. God wants you to do this, so how can you fail?
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? -- Romans 8:31 (day 80).

Let's do this!

Okay Gents,

This is the place to ask questions regarding your reading and it is a place to encourage one another.

I am so grateful to be in this season with you men. The task before us is doable. Not by our own power but by the Lords. He will encourage us and we will encourage one another.

July 1, kick off day. Let's do this.

Gentlemen, Gentlemen.....

Gentlemen, Gentlemen....

Wow this is an exciting time for Man Cave. As you know we recently finished our study of the book "Living the Questions in John". It is time for new blood and fresh perspectives. Please continue your invitations to men who are within you sphere of influence. Ensure I have their contact info once they confirm intent to attend.

30000 Foot perspective. "The Hope" video http://www.thehopeproject.com/ will give us the single story revealed in scripture. We will watch this over two Sundays, June 28 and July 5. Please make this a priority. If you cannot attend I encourage you to watch the video at the link provided above.

Read the bible in 90 days? Are you crazy. In short, I've heard that a lot directed toward me in this life. In this instance the answer is definitely not crazy. 12 pages a day is all we ask. You can do this! With the men of our group praying for you and reading their 12 pages a day you can expect great revelation from God as well as and energy and focus given to you by the Holy Spirit.

We are going to purchase either a CD collection or an MP3 CD for our groups use. If you spend an hour in traffic a day this is one alternative way to complete your daily task. Stay focused on the road. We need cash money for this so we will discuss this at the next group meeting. Please be prepared to give in however the Lord leads you.

As you look to the future and the great task of reading the entire bible in 90 days consider Abraham story.

"Hebrews 11:8-10
8 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his
inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. 9 By
faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived
in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he
was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God."

Can we agree in faith that reading the bible is in the perfect will of our God. Knowing this should allow you to step to the edge, throw your arms out and jump into His will.

Blessings for now Brothers,

Paul

Gents, I agree with Scott, good times last weekend.

In reference to the upcoming events he mentioned, here is the 90 day reading plan (in case you didn't get one or lose it). Click on it to see it larger. Also, you can find out more about the program by clicking here.

I can't wait to go through this with you guys. I know God has some good things in store for us as we get into His Word.

Eat Meat; Praise God

Last Sunday's dinner and prayer at the Man Cave were great. I think we made new friends and lifted up all that were present and unable to attend.
